We are seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer to join NexmindAI in Kuala Lumpur on a full-time basis. In this role, you will lead the design vision for our digital products, ensuring that every interaction is purposeful, elegant, and user-focused. As a Senior UI/UX Designer, you will be at the heart of our product development process, collaborating with cross-functional teams to create interfaces that not only meet business objectives but also exceed user expectations. This is a strategic position where your design expertise will directly influence the success of our products and the satisfaction of our users.

Mandarin proficiency is highly preferred.
As our products serve a large Chinese-speaking user base, we are looking for a designer who can communicate effectively in Mandarin and understand the preferences, behaviours, and design expectations of Chinese-speaking users. Experience designing products for Chinese or Southeast Asian Chinese-speaking markets will be considered a strong advantage.

Key responsibilities

1. Lead the end-to-end design process for digital products and features, from discovery and research through to high-fidelity prototypes and implementation

2. Conduct user research, usability testing, and data analysis to inform design decisions and validate design solutions

3. Create wireframes, prototypes, and comprehensive design specifications that clearly communicate design intent to development teams

4. Establish and maintain design systems and component libraries to ensure consistency across products and platforms

5. Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to define requirements and deliver solutions that balance user needs with business goals

6. Mentor and provide design guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of design excellence

7. Stay current with design trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UI/UX design, particularly in AI-driven interfaces

8. Iterate on designs based on user feedback, analytics, and testing results to continuously improve user experiences

9. Present design work to stakeholders and defend design decisions with clear rationale and user-centred thinking

• Lead the design process from concept to execution for web and mobile applications.

• Create wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and high-fidelity mockups.

• Conduct user research, usability testing, and analyze feedback to inform design decisions.

• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define and implement innovative solutions.

• Develop and maintain a design system to ensure consistency across all products.
