Job Description

Requirements

  • SPM or Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Purchasing, or any related field.

  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain. Fresh graduates with purchasing internship experience are encouraged to apply.

  • Good knowledge of purchasing processes, supplier sourcing, price negotiation, inventory control, and procurement documentation.

  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain good relationships with suppliers.

  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to multitask while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to compare quotations, analyze costs, and prepare purchasing reports.

  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with clients in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain general purchase orders and ensuring pricing and delivery dates are being met.

• To liaise with existing supplier in terms of product, pricing, payment terms, order and delivery.

• Responsible for sourcing, selection and negotiate with new potential local or oversea supplier to strive for best deal.

• Maintaining supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation. Ensure that systems are kept up to date with the most current procurement information.

• Maintain proper and complete documentation filing of purchase order, invoices, delivery and goods received note, ensure full set of documents are sent to accounts for payment.

• Monitor and coordinate stock re-ordering and delivery, ensure stock is on healthy level.

• Working with warehouse staff to compare deliveries with purchase orders to identify discrepancies.

• Support day-to-day administration, purchasing of stationers, office equipment, office general items, etc..

• Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned by superior.
