Key Responsibilities

* Repair punctured tyres and replace damaged or worn tyres when necessary.

* Perform tyre rotation and ensure correct tyre positioning.

* Check and maintain correct tyre pressure.

* Remove and install tyres using appropriate tools and equipment.

* Conduct wheel balancing when required.

* Record tyre inspections, repairs, replacements, and tyre movements accurately.

* Monitor tyre tread depth and recommend replacement before tyres become unsafe.

* Assist in maintaining tyre inventory and report low stock levels.

* Keep the tyre workshop, equipment, and work area clean and organized.

* Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company safety procedures.

* Respond promptly to tyre-related breakdowns or emergency roadside assistance when required.

* Work closely with drivers, mechanics, and the Operations team to ensure fleet availability.

* Report any vehicle defects noticed during tyre inspections to the Fleet Supervisor.

* Perform other duties assigned by management from time to time.

The Tyreman is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and replacing tyres on the company’s fleet of trucks and trailers. The role ensures all vehicles are safe, roadworthy, and operating efficiently by maintaining proper tyre conditions and minimizing tyre-related downtime.
