Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:7–10 years of experience in logistics and warehouse management, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role specifically withinFood Retail, FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods), or Cold Chain logistics.

Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, leadership, and crisis-management skills (crucial for handling perishable transport delays).

Temperature Integrity: Maintain strict temperature-controlled environments (frozen, chilled, ambient) across warehouses and transit.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with local food safety standards (such as JAKIM Halal, HACCP, and MeSTI in Malaysia).

Distribution & Fleet Optimization: Direct the daily routing and scheduling for inbound and outbound logistics. Optimize fleet utilization (own fleet or 3PL/third-party logistics) to ensure on-time delivery to retail outlets.

Inventory & Warehouse Control: Manage warehouse operations, layout optimization, and inventory accuracy. Implement efficient FEFO (First Expired, First Out) rotation protocols given the perishable nature of the inventory.

Vendor & 3PL Management: Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, freight forwarders, and transport vendors. Monitor vendor KPIs (on-time delivery, temperature compliance).

Budgeting & Cost Control: Devise and manage the logistics annual budget. Analyse cost per delivery, fuel consumption, and warehouse labour costs to drive continuous cost-saving initiatives.

Technology Integration: Leverage Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and GPS tracking tools to improve supply chain visibility and data-driven decision-making.
