Job Description

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related discipline.

  • Proven experience as a Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, or in a similar leadership role, with a consistent track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage the full sales cycle, from business development and opportunity identification through negotiation and deal closure.

  • Strong knowledge of the Renewable Energy and Solar PV industry, with a genuine passion for sustainable and green energy solutions.

  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify business opportunities and develop strategic sales initiatives.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Proficiency in additional languages such as Mandarin is an added advantage.

  • Possess a valid driving licence, own transportation, and be willing to travel as required for client meetings and site visits.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and develop the sales team to achieve business growth and consistently meet or exceed sales targets.

  • Develop and implement strategic sales and business development plans to expand the company's customer base and strengthen its market presence.

  • Oversee sales team recruitment, target setting, performance management, coaching, and professional development.

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients by understanding their business needs and delivering tailored solutions.

  • Prepare and present sales forecasts, revenue projections, pipeline reports, and expense analyses to senior management.

  • Identify new market opportunities, monitor industry trends, and analyze the competitive landscape to drive business growth.

  • Conduct client meetings, presentations, and consultative discussions throughout the business development and sales cycle.

  • Perform site surveys to evaluate the feasibility of solar PV installations and provide accurate technical information to the Engineering team for system design and proposal preparation.

  • Collaborate with the Marketing team on branding and promotional initiatives, including the development of sales collateral, digital and print marketing campaigns, exhibitions, roadshows, seminars, and other industry events.

  • Undertake additional sales, marketing, and business development responsibilities as assigned by Management.
