Job Description

Responsibilities

Our client is an Established Retail Organisation with a growing presence across Southeast Asia. They are seeking a proactive and hands-on HR Manager to support their operations across Singapore and Malaysia.


Reporting to the leadership team, this role will oversee the full spectrum of HR operations while partnering with business leaders to drive people initiatives, ensure compliance, and enhance the overall employee experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders on workforce planning and people-related initiatives.
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee movements, and offboarding.
  • Oversee payroll, compensation and benefits administration, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Ensure HR policies, processes, and practices comply with local employment legislation across Singapore and Malaysia.
  • Manage HR operations, employee records, HR systems, and reporting while driving continuous process improvements.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations matters and support a positive workplace culture.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure the smooth delivery of HR services.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of progressive HR experience, with strong exposure to HR Operations, Singapore & Malaysia Payroll, Employment Legislation & Compliance, Employee Relations and Hands-on experience managing outsourced payroll vendors.
  • Good understanding of Singapore and Malaysia employment laws, statutory requirements, and payroll regulations.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Highly organised, analytical, and detail-oriented.
  • Comfortable working in a regional, fast-paced, and matrix environment.
