Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related engineering field.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Internship or industrial training experience will be an advantage.
- Basic understanding of PLC programming. Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs is preferred, while knowledge of Siemens or Omron PLCs is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with industrial automation components such as sensors, actuators, motors, VFDs, safety devices, and control panels.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD or Electrical CAD for panel design and wiring diagrams.
- Exposure to industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus, or Profibus will be an advantage.
- Able to support troubleshooting, testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
- Willing to work hands-on with wiring, control panels, and machine equipment setup.
- Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and a willingness to learn.
- Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage.
- Able to work collaboratively with engineers, technicians, and customers in a team environment.
- Willing to travel within Malaysia and occasionally overseas for project support.
- Possess own transport and a valid driving license.
Responsibilities
- Assist in PLC programming, HMI development, testing, and troubleshooting for automation projects.
- Support the design and development of control systems for factory machines and production lines.
- Assist senior engineers with machine installation, commissioning, site testing, and project handover.
- Perform troubleshooting on control panels, sensors, actuators, motors, VFDs, safety devices, and other automation components.
- Prepare and update electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and project documentation.
- Support control panel inspection, wiring verification, I/O testing, and equipment setup.
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and customers to ensure project requirements are completed successfully.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine efficiency, safety, and reliability.
- Learn and apply industrial automation standards, safety practices, and engineering best practices.
- Travel to customer sites when required to provide project support, servicing, and commissioning.
