Requirements
Proven experience of 1-2 years in a sales leadership role, specifically within the General Trade (GT) channel, is essential.
Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a sales team to achieve targets in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
Strong understanding of FMCG distribution models and sales strategies applicable to the General Trade sector.
Experience in developing and implementing sales strategies, including market analysis and identifying new business opportunities within GT.
Proficiency in performance management, including setting KPIs, monitoring sales performance, and providing constructive feedback to team members.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with GT customers and stakeholders.
A valid driving license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory (Puchong, Selangor and surrounding areas) are required.
Fluency in English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia is necessary for effective communication with a diverse customer base and internal teams.
Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and motivate a team of sales representatives to achieve and exceed sales targets within the general trade channel.
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive product penetration and market share growth in assigned territories.
Monitor team performance, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews to ensure high standards of productivity and sales excellence.
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new business opportunities and adapt sales approaches.
Manage key customer relationships within the general trade network, ensuring satisfaction and fostering long-term partnerships.
Oversee the distribution process, ensuring timely delivery and optimal stock levels at retail points.
Conduct regular sales meetings to discuss performance, share best practices, and align the team on upcoming promotions and objectives.
Train new team members on product knowledge, sales techniques, and company policies.
Manage sales budgets and ensure efficient resource allocation to maximize return on investment.
Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of sales and distribution plans.
