Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
Experience with established automotive brands (OEMs or authorized distributors) is highly preferred, with strong understanding of automotive market dynamics, product planning, vehicle specifications, pricing strategy and product lifecycle management.
Experience in new model launches, market analysis, and cross-functional project management is an advantage.
Technical & Soft Skills
Strong analytical, strategic thinking, problem-solving, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent communication, presentation, and public speaking abilities, with the capability to conduct product training and confidently present to dealers, customers and business partners.
Ability to perform Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) and provide technical product support
Proactive, well-organized, detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams, with experience in project management tools such as Jira, Asana, or similar platforms considered an advantage.
Willing to travel when required and flexible to support product launches, exhibitions, roadshows and other business events outside normal working hours when necessary.
Responsibilities
Job Purpose
The Product Manager is responsible for driving the end-to-end product lifecycle, product planning, market strategy, and successful launch of vehicles and automotive products. This role serves as the bridge between market needs, customer expectations, engineering, sales, marketing, aftersales and management to ensure competitive, customer-centric, and commercially successful products.
The Product Manager is expected to conduct market intelligence, develop product positioning and pricing strategies, manage product specifications, coordinate new model launches, and continuously improve the product portfolio throughout its lifecycle.
In addition, this role plays an important customer-facing function by delivering product training, conducting Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI), presenting new products to internal and external stakeholders, and acting as a product expert during media events, dealer conferences, product launches, exhibitions, and customer engagement activities.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute product strategies, roadmaps, and lifecycle plans aligned with business objectives, including product specifications, equipment levels, pricing, market positioning, sales volume forecasting, and product enhancement initiatives.
Manage the complete product lifecycle, including new model introductions, model enhancements, special editions, product improvements, and end-of-life planning.
Conduct market research, competitor benchmarking, pricing analysis, and customer insight studies to identify market opportunities, monitor automotive industry trends, regulations, consumer preferences, and competitor activities, and recommend product improvements to enhance market competitiveness.
Lead cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Aftersales, Operations and external stakeholders to ensure the successful planning, development, launch, and continuous improvement of products while managing project timelines, monitoring progress, mitigating risks, and ensuring timely execution.
Coordinate product testing, quality assurance activities, launch readiness, and perform or support Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) to ensure vehicles meet quality and delivery standards.
Develop and deliver product training for internal teams, dealers, distributors, and business partners, and serve as the product expert and presenter during product launches, dealer conferences, exhibitions, roadshows, media events, customer engagements, and other corporate events.
Monitor product performance through sales analysis, customer feedback, and market intelligence to drive continuous product improvement and business growth.
Prepare product proposals, business cases, reports, presentations, and recommendations for Management, while maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful product planning and execution.
Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by Management from time to time.
