Requirements
To drive financial excellence by overseeing budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, internal controls, and risk management frameworks. Act as a key business partner to Management by ensuring financial accuracy, supporting strategic decision-making, and safeguarding the company's commercial and financial interests.
Responsibilities
Forecasting, Budgeting & Analysis
Coordinate the annual budgeting process and reports to General Manager
Forecasting: Oversee and maintain reliable financial forecasts (cash flow, P&L, balance sheet) to guide management
Variance Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of financial results against budget and forecasts, providing commentary and actionable recommendations to executive management to improve cost control and profitability.
Internal Control & Risk Management
Internal Controls: Design, Implement and monitor a robust system of internal controls, accounting policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate capture of financial data.
Risk Mitigation: Identify potential financial risks (e.g., currency exposure, credit risk, liquidity risk) and develop strategies to mitigate them
Performing Due Diligence and Contract Management
Contract Review: Act as the finance liaison for all significant commercial agreements, supplier contracts, and customer agreements.
Financial Terms Vetting: Ensure that contract payment terms, penalties, revenue recognition criteria, and pricing models are financially sound and accurately reflected in budgets and forecasts.
Contract Administration: Maintain a centralized repository for all active contracts, monitoring key expiration dates, renewal clauses, and financial covenants to mitigate business risk.
Compliance: Work with legal counsel to ensure contracts minimize financial liabilities and comply with local commercial law.
External & Internal Liaison
Audit Liaison: Assist and support Accounting Manager to liaise with external auditors during the annual audit process, ensuring timely and accurate provision of documents and explanations (leveraging data prepared by the Accounting Manager).
Legal & Tax Coordination: Support the Accounting Manager and work closely with the company's external legal counsel and tax agents, providing financial data required for legal drafting, tax planning, and statutory submissions.
Bank/Treasury Relations: Assist the General Manager in managing relationships with banks for financing, loan applications, and treasury operations.
Internal Data Integration: Collaborate with the Accounting Manager to ensure that data integrity is maintained, and reporting outputs meet the specific needs of external advisors.
Ad-Hoc Executive & Strategic Support
Director & GM Task Support: Be responsive to and execute tasks, special projects, and analyses assigned by the Company Directors and General Managers.
