Location: Chew Jetty, 10300 Georgetown, Pulau Pinang

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 10:00am – 7:00pm; Saturday 10:00am – 2:00pm WFH

Role Summary

We are looking for a Legal Executive / Legal Advisor to support contracts, compliance, corporate matters, intellectual property and business expansion projects for our fast-growing e-commerce group. This role is suitable for someone who enjoys practical business legal work and wants exposure beyond routine documentation.

Requirements

• Must be able to communicate in Mandarin, as the company’s working environment and internal communication are mainly Mandarin-based.
• Strong English reading and writing ability.
• Degree in Law, Legal Studies or related field.
• Experience in contract review, corporate legal, compliance, commercial law or legal documentation is preferred.
• Familiarity with PDPA, intellectual property, company compliance, e-commerce, employment or commercial matters is an advantage.
• Responsible, detail-oriented and able to explain legal matters in a clear and practical way.
• Able to work independently and support different departments in a fast-growing business.

• Draft, review and organize commercial contracts, agreements, letters and legal documents.
• Provide practical legal support to management and internal departments.
• Assist with corporate compliance, internal policies, PDPA, employment and business-related legal matters.
• Support intellectual property matters, brand protection and documentation.
• Conduct legal research and summarize findings in a clear business-friendly manner.
• Identify legal risks and suggest practical solutions for business operations and expansion.
• Liaise with external lawyers, government bodies or third parties when required.
