Job Description

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in restaurant operations, preferably in a Japanese restaurant.

  • Experience as a Restaurant Manager, Assistant Manager, or Supervisor.

  • Sales experience or a sales-driven mindset is an added advantage.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Good communication and customer service skills.

  • Able to handle customer complaints professionally.

  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and SOP compliance.

  • Basic knowledge of inventory and cost control.

  • Able to use POS systems.

  • Responsible, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant to ensure efficient service and smooth workflow.

  • Lead, supervise, train, and motivate front-of-house and kitchen staff to deliver excellent customer service.

  • Prepare staff duty rosters, manpower planning, and monitor staff attendance and performance.

  • Ensure compliance with company SOPs, food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.

  • Monitor food quality, presentation, and service standards before serving customers.

  • Handle customer enquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally, ensuring prompt resolution and customer satisfaction.

  • Manage cashier operations, including cash handling, billing, credit card transactions, petty cash, and daily sales reconciliation.

  • Monitor daily sales performance and prepare operational reports.

  • Manage inventory levels, stock ordering, receiving, and supplier coordination to ensure adequate supplies.

  • Control food costs, inventory, wastage, labour costs, and operating expenses to achieve profitability targets.

  • Support menu planning, promotions, and sales initiatives to drive revenue growth.

  • Ensure all restaurant equipment and facilities are well maintained and operational.

  • Assist with outlet opening, closing, and overall operational readiness.

  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and continuous training of new employees.

  • Work closely with management to implement operational improvements and achieve business objectives.

  • Perform any other duties or special projects assigned by Management.
