Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in restaurant operations, preferably in a Japanese restaurant.
Experience as a Restaurant Manager, Assistant Manager, or Supervisor.
Sales experience or a sales-driven mindset is an added advantage.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Able to handle customer complaints professionally.
Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and SOP compliance.
Basic knowledge of inventory and cost control.
Able to use POS systems.
Responsible, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment, including weekends and public holidays.
Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant to ensure efficient service and smooth workflow.
Lead, supervise, train, and motivate front-of-house and kitchen staff to deliver excellent customer service.
Prepare staff duty rosters, manpower planning, and monitor staff attendance and performance.
Ensure compliance with company SOPs, food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
Monitor food quality, presentation, and service standards before serving customers.
Handle customer enquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally, ensuring prompt resolution and customer satisfaction.
Manage cashier operations, including cash handling, billing, credit card transactions, petty cash, and daily sales reconciliation.
Monitor daily sales performance and prepare operational reports.
Manage inventory levels, stock ordering, receiving, and supplier coordination to ensure adequate supplies.
Control food costs, inventory, wastage, labour costs, and operating expenses to achieve profitability targets.
Support menu planning, promotions, and sales initiatives to drive revenue growth.
Ensure all restaurant equipment and facilities are well maintained and operational.
Assist with outlet opening, closing, and overall operational readiness.
Support recruitment, onboarding, and continuous training of new employees.
Work closely with management to implement operational improvements and achieve business objectives.
Perform any other duties or special projects assigned by Management.
