Job Description

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • Professional qualification preferred (ACCA, CPA, CA, ICAEW or equivalent)

  • Minimum 5–8 years relevant experience in finance, audit, or commercial accounting roles

  • Audit background and experience managing multi-entity/group accounts strongly preferred

  • Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, retail, distribution, or SME group structures is advantageous

  • Strong understanding of cashflow management, management reporting, and financial controls

  • Experience with accounting system implementation or process improvement projects preferred

  • Ability to work independently, prioritise effectively, and operate in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills

Responsibilities

We are seeking a commercially minded and hands-on Finance Manager to oversee the finance and accounting functions across our group of companies, including a compounding pharmacy, preventive medicine clinic, import business, and Singapore holding company.

This role goes beyond traditional accounting and reporting. The successful candidate will play a key role in group cashflow planning, business expansion strategy, financial controls, operational optimisation, system implementation, and management reporting across multiple entities and business models.

The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, commercially aware, and capable of working closely with directors and department heads to support strategic decision-making and long-term growth. Candidates with audit background and experience managing multi-entity businesses will be highly preferred.

Financial Management & Reporting

• Oversee full spectrum of finance and accounting functions across multiple entities within the group

• Ensure timely and accurate monthly management accounts, financial reporting, and year-end closing

• Consolidate group financial performance and provide financial insights to management

• Monitor profitability, margins, cost controls, and financial health across different business units

• Review and improve chart of accounts, accounting structures, and reporting frameworks

Cashflow & Business Planning

• Lead group cashflow forecasting, treasury planning, and working capital management

• Monitor operational cash requirements and optimise fund allocation across entities

• Support directors in budgeting, financial modelling, scenario planning, and expansion initiatives

• Assist management in evaluating new business opportunities, investments, and strategic projects

Audit, Compliance & Tax Coordination

• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, banks, and regulatory authorities

• Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, SST/GST, and corporate requirements across Malaysia and Singapore entities

• Coordinate yearly audit processes and ensure readiness of supporting documentation

• Strengthen internal controls, SOPs, and governance processes

Operational Finance & Systems

• Oversee finance and accounts team operations and improve departmental efficiency

• Drive finance process improvements, automation, and system implementation initiatives

• Work closely with operations and management teams to improve reporting accuracy and workflow integration

• Assist in implementing scalable financial systems and controls to support business growth

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance/accounts team across the group

• Establish KPIs, reporting standards, and accountability within the department

• Foster a proactive and solutions-oriented finance culture
