Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a recognised professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, or equivalent recognised by MIA).
Minimum 1 year of audit experience preferred; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply as training will be provided.
Good understanding of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and audit practices is an advantage.
Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced working environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Chinese, as the role requires handling Chinese-speaking clients and counterparts.
Responsibilities
Assist in client acceptance procedures, including risk assessments and preliminary analytical reviews.
Conduct audit fieldwork in accordance with approved audit plans and established audit methodologies.
Perform audit procedures such as sampling, testing, and preparation of Audit Working Papers (AWPs).
Identify audit issues, conduct necessary research, and communicate findings with clients and engagement team members.
Monitor engagement progress, ensure timely completion of assigned tasks, and follow up on review notes.
Highlight potential risks, control weaknesses, or inefficiencies during audit engagements.
Maintain complete and accurate audit documentation in compliance with applicable auditing standards and regulatory requirements.
Support the audit team in delivering high-quality services within agreed timelines.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Audit Manager or Partner.
