Requirements
Culinary school certificate/Diploma
Proven experience as a cook or in a similar kitchen role
Knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment
Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
Responsibilities
Assist the Sous Chef and Head Chef in daily food preparation and kitchen operations.
Ensure all dishes are prepared with consistent taste, quality, temperature, and presentation.
Follow food safety, hygiene, and 5S cleanliness standards at all times.
Maintain proper handling and storage of ingredients to minimize waste and spoilage.
Assist in estimating daily food requirements based on orders and menu planning.
Support cost control by monitoring food usage and reducing unnecessary wastage.
Ensure all kitchen equipment and tools are cleaned and in proper working condition.
Coordinate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
Perform other related duties as requested.
