Job Description

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance

  • Membership in professional accounting bodies such as MIA, ACCA, CPA,CIMA

  • Minimum 10 years and above of experience in in Accounting or Finance with prior exposure at Financial Controller or Senior Finance management level.

  • Preferably from Palm Oil Industries

  • Proven experience in corporate reporting, financial management, cash management, budgeting, taxation and audit.

  • Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

  • Willing to travel occasionally to support subsidiary operations

  • Multilingual proficiency, good command English, Malay and Chinese to facilitate effective communication across diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all finance and accounting functions, including controlling treasury, accounting, cash flow, budgeting, tax and audit processes.

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.

  • Ensure full compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, audit processes and regulatory submissions.

  • Manage audit and tax matters, providing advice or proposing correct treatments to management and accounting teams.

  • Monitor financial performance through analysis of results, initiating corrective actions, minimizing variances and driving continuous improvements.

  • Perform risk management by analyzing company liabilities, investments, capital structure and fundraising initiatives, including debt financing with financial institutions.

  • Oversee investment funds and collaborate with investment bankers to raise capital for expansion.

  • Formulate short and long -term financial goals, including financial planning, forecasting and financial modelling: assess project viability, mergers, acquisitions, and due diligence.

  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, lawyers, bankers and other consultant.

  • Build and maintain synergistic relationships with banks, government bodies, vendors, and other relevant parties.

  • Attend to government agencies on certification, incentives, grants, and specific projects

  • Supervise, mentor and guide the finance team to achieve departmental goals and maintain high standards of performance and accuracy.
