Job Description

Requirements

As an Electrician/Chargmen for Solar Photovoltaic System, you must be able to/possess:

  • Minimum Vocational/Diploma Certificate with Electrician or Chargemen Certification
    Preferably PW4/A4

  • 2-5 years of experience - in working with live electrical circuits for industry in Solar System, Building/Warehouse/Office Maintenance, Renovation and Fit-out or relevant industry.

  • Basic understanding of Solar Photovoltaic System main components and add-on features of its functionality, specifications and importance.

  • Maneuver standard handy tools (multimeter, crimper, torque driver)

  • Ensure the solar system compatibility and functionality with the client’s establishment without any disastrous outcome.

  • Work comfortably at heights, in M&E room with proper PPE; no fear of pitched roofs. Hands-on installing solar panels and mounting systems together with a team.

  • Attention to details - Spot any mistake or issue and rectify it before becoming disastrous.

  • Communicate and deliver clear and concise messages to supervisor, clients and team members effectively.

  • Utilise AI tools or Mobile Applications to boost productivity and communicate effectively.

  • Demonstrate discipline and punctuality to work

  • Own Transport (Car/Motorcycle). Able to travel outstations for site work.

Responsibilities

As an electrician/Chargmen for Solar Photovoltaic System, you must be able to:

  • Install and terminate AC and DC electrical circuits for solar PV systems (residential and C&I).

  • Install and operate switchboard/DB and other crucial components as part of electrical system.

  • Pull cables, dress trays, crimp lugs, torque terminations, label circuits.

  • Work alongside foreign workers as part of the install crew — give clear instructions, demonstrate when needed, and get the job done together.

  • Carry out continuity, insulation resistance, and earth tests; flag faults before energisation

  • Read single-line diagrams and wiring schedules and execute them in the field

  • Install relevant electrical system or components tied with Solar Photovoltaic System including Inverter, RSD, micro-inverter, batteries and etcs.

  • Familiar with the Malaysia electrical ecosystem on standards, safety, regulations including paperworks and inspections by the authorities including TNB, JKKP, Bomba.

  • Install other relevant ad-hoc system and structures relevant to solar, upon client request.

  • Manage pre-project preparation task and post-project works in our warehouse, including stock take and inventories.

  • Working as part of the team alongside installation crews and supervisors

  • Step-up as site lead for specific occasions.

  • Prepare daily log report and assist in completing project report.
