• Diploma or Degree in Nursing.

• Relevant post basic certificate/advance diploma for specialized nursing areas.

• Valid Annual Practicing Certificate.

• Registered with Malaysian Nursing Board.

• Minimum 5 years and above of clinical/ nursing experience in related fields.

• Supervisory experience is an added advantage.

• Previous track record demonstrating compliance and high concern for quality to safeguard the standards of nursing practice.

• Teaching methodology/clinical teaching/preceptorship in related fields.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Clinical Instructor to join our team. As Clinical Instructor to coach, educate and supervise nursing staff to ensure the practice of nursing and health related subjects is in accordance to set policies and standards of the organization.

Job description:

To monitors performance of nursing staff to ensure competencies and nursing practices is in accordance with established policies and standards. It is achieved by:

• Close and constant supervision of nursing staff.

• Develop, implement and monitor process improvement initiatives to continuously enhance the level of nursing staff’s competency and efficiency.

• Anticipating potential risk and execute appropriate action to ensure safe environment i.e. practice and adhere to infection control guidelines and policy.

• Demonstrating operational knowledge of nursing procedure applicable to area of assignment.

• Assuming leadership role for others to prepare and assist them with their responsibilities in the unit.

• Work as part of a health care team to assess patient needs, plan and modify care and implement interventions.

• Maintaining sterility of equipment and supplies, use of disinfectant as per infection control guidelines.

• Demonstrate positive attitude towards responsibilities, work place and colleagues by adhering to company rules and policy i.e. punctual to work.

• Ensure effective coordination with other department for timely delivery of patients’ treatment and investigation.

• Perform other appropriate tasks assigned within the realm of staff knowledge, skills and ability and answer patients' calls and determine how to assist them.

Assist in assessing learning needs of nurses in accordance with prescribed guidelines by Malaysia Nursing Board / Ministry of Health and accreditation standards. It is achieved by:

• Strictly adhere to MNB policies and procedures to ensure the nurses’ competencies

• Ensure sufficient CPD points for nurses through regular in-service programs

• Assists in conducting nursing audits to ascertain training needs for nurses

• Conducts regular bedside clinical teaching for nursing staff

• Exceeding set standards and quality in nursing care rendered.

• Assist in ensuring completion of competency records within stipulated time frames

• Assist in teaching BLS, NRP, PALS, ACLS as per latest AHA guidelines

• Conduct regular emergency response drills in designated supervise areas
