Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in key account management, sales, or FMCG/consumer goods industry.

  • Experience managing modern trade or key retail accounts is highly preferred.

  • Strong analytical skills, with excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis).

  • Strong commercial mindset with ability to interpret sales data, margins, and ROI of promotions.

  • Confident in negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management.

  • Highly motivated, results-driven, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both spoken and written.

  • Willing to travel for customer engagement and business needs.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute Joint Business Plans (JBP) with key retail customers to achieve sales growth, profitability, and long-term partnership success.

  • Plan, propose, and negotiate trade promotions, pricing, and marketing initiatives to maximize sales while protecting margins.

  • Serve as the main contact person for assigned key accounts, building strong and sustainable business relationships.

  • Analyze sales performance, market trends, and promotional effectiveness using Excel and reporting tools to support business decisions.

  • Monitor competitor activities and category trends to identify growth opportunities and improve market positioning.

  • Manage commercial terms, including pricing structures, rebates, promotions, and service-level agreements.

  • Ensure effective stock planning and inventory management, including action plans for slow-moving or excess stock.

  • Drive product availability, distribution, and in-store execution within assigned accounts.

  • Monitor customer collections and credit performance to ensure timely payment and healthy account management.

  • Review account performance regularly, including sales, profitability, ROI, and promotional effectiveness.

  • Work closely with internal teams (Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance) to ensure smooth execution of account strategies.

  • Support implementation of Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS) requirements.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Reporting Manager.
