Job Description

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in financial management, accounting, or a similar role, preferably within the accounting or tax services industry.

  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a finance team.

  • Demonstrated experience in project management, overseeing financial aspects of various initiatives.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a track record of developing and implementing effective financial solutions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal stakeholders and external clients.

  • Proficiency in strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

  • Fluency in both English and Bahasa Malaysia is required for effective communication within the team and with clients.

  • Experience with accounting software and financial reporting tools is essential.

  • Understanding of Malaysian accounting standards and tax regulations is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all financial operations of the company, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth and profitability objectives.

  • Manage and mentor a small finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and legal requirements.

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.

  • Manage cash flow, optimize working capital, and oversee banking relationships.

  • Lead financial aspects of projects, including budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.

  • Collaborate with senior management to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.

  • Manage external audits and liaise with auditors to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
