Job Description

Requirements

  • Qualifications:

    • Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia, with strong language skills in speaking, reading, and writing.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Language Studies, or a related field.

    • Teaching certification or licensure appropriate for language instruction at the elementary level.

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching Bahasa Malaysia to elementary school students.

    • Strong understanding of language acquisition and effective language teaching practices.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

    • Proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools for language instruction.

Responsibilities

  • Key Responsibilities:

    • Instruction & Delivery: Design and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the school’s language curriculum, using diverse methods to support various learning styles and levels. Incorporate Malaysian cultural elements to enrich lessons.

    • Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, organized, and inclusive learning environment using effective management strategies.

    • Assessment: Conduct regular assessments, provide constructive feedback, and track student progress accurately.

    • Communication & Collaboration: Engage effectively with students, parents, and staff. Collaborate with colleagues on integrated teaching and school initiatives.

    • Student Support: Promote students’ academic, emotional, and social development. Support diverse learners and create a respectful, inclusive classroom.

    • Extracurricular Activities: Participate in school events and encourage student involvement in language-related and cultural activities.
