Qualifications
Degree in Occupational Safety & Health with 4 year’s experience in Safety & Health Officer and Aviation Auditor, or
Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health and Aviation Operations, or
Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline
Skills and Knowledge
Analyse and report writing skills
Negotiations skill
Aviation operation knowledge
Safety, Security & Health knowledge in Aviation Industry
Solid working knowledge of SQL for database querying and data extraction.
Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis, automation, and statistical modelling.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, formulas, data validation) for data manipulation and analysis.
Strong expertise in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
Ability to translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights and compelling data for decision-making.
Proven experience in data cleaning, transformation, analysis, and interpretation of complex datasets
Key Challenges
To obtain buy in from Business Unit (BUs) to execute recommendation for process improvement
To obtain effective and on-time Corrective Action Plan (CAP) from BUs
Communication barrier with foreign workers to understand and comply to company requirements and SOP
To ensure BU / vendors comply and conform to DCA/IOSA/ISAGO/ Foreign Airlines requirements
Responsibilities
To perform audit and operations surveillance to ensure whole operations are consistently in full compliance with the regulatory requirements and in conformance with the company and customer airlines required standards
To ensure implementation of effective SMS by Business Unit (BU) and vendors to raise safety benchmark for ground operations
To review, analyse and escalate BU Corrective Action Plan (CAP) on hazard reports and ground safety occurrence findings and follow-up in the Group Safety Information System (GSIS)
To track, monitor and submit safety report for review in the Accountable Managers Committee (AMC)
To develop and implement divisional Safety Action Plans to achieve the objective of divisional KPI, with consistent reduction in ground safety occurrences
