1) JOB SUMMARY

The Facility Engineer is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of hospital and healthcare facility systems. This role involves maintaining critical infrastructure, coordinating maintenance activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

2) JOB DESCRIPTION

• Monitor and maintain hospital facility systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, medical gas systems, fire protection, and backup power systems.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for building equipment and critical healthcare infrastructure.

• Ensure all facilities and engineering systems comply with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and infection control requirements.

• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and service providers for maintenance, repairs, and facility upgrades.

• Support hospital operations by minimizing downtime and responding promptly to emergency breakdowns.

• Conduct routine inspections and risk assessments to ensure a safe and functional healthcare environment.

• Maintain documentation, maintenance records, and compliance reports.

• Assist in facility renovation, expansion, and improvement projects.

• Monitor utility usage and support energy efficiency initiatives.

• Ensure proper operation of emergency systems such as generators, UPS, and fire alarm systems.
