Job Description

Requirements

1. Basic Multi-Cuisine Cooking Skills

  • Comfortable preparing Chinese dishes, simple Western meals, and basic bakery items, with consistency and willingness to follow house recipes.

2. Willingness to Learn Postnatal Nutrition

  • Open to learning and applying confinement meal principles, including handling herbs, soups, and special dietary needs for recovery mums.

3. Good Work Attitude & Reliability

  • Responsible, punctual, and able to follow instructions well. Someone the team can rely on for daily operations.

4. Team Player

  • Able to work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team, with a cooperative and supportive mindset.

5. Basic Kitchen Organization Skills

  • Able to keep ingredients, prep work, and cooking flow organized to support smooth kitchen operations.

6. Hygiene & Cleanliness Awareness

  • Maintains good personal hygiene and ensures the kitchen is always clean and safe.

Responsibilities

1. Daily Food Preparation & Cooking

  • Assist in preparing and cooking all meals according to the daily menu

  • Ensure food is prepared on time and meets expected taste and quality

2. Support Kitchen Operations

  • Help organize daily prep work and ingredient readiness

  • Ensure smooth workflow during busy meal times

3. Follow Recipes & Standards

  • Follow the Company’s recipes and portion guidelines closely

  • Maintain consistency in food taste and presentation

4. Assist in Stock & Ingredient Management

  • Help check stock levels and inform the Head Chef when supplies are low

  • Practice proper storage and stock rotation (FIFO)

5. Maintain Cleanliness & Hygiene

  • Ensure kitchen cleanliness at all times

  • Follow food safety and hygiene standards strictly

6. Support Team & Communication

  • Work closely with kitchen team and communicate clearly

  • Assist in guiding junior staff when needed

7. Step In When Needed

  • Able to take over basic kitchen operations when the Head Chef is not around

  • Ensure meals are still delivered smoothly and on time.

(Nice to Have)

  • Basic understanding of herbs or confinement ingredients

  • Willingness to learn simple documentation or prep processes
