Responsibilities

1) GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Assistant, Purchasing (Purchasing Clerk) shall be responsible for the security and the day-to-day purchasing operations of the Purchasing Services of KPJ PsSH, which include issue the Purchase Order (PO), get quotation and negotiate the price.

2) JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Purchase the item after approval from Management. 

  • To file purchase documents in a systematic manner. 

  • To perform the stock taking as required. 

  • To carry out duties as an employee as stipulated in Occupational Safety and Health Act and Regulation 1994. 

  • To take reasonable care at work for the safety of self and other persons. 

  • To co-operate with employer or any other person in the discharge of any duty, under the Act or Regulations. 

  • To wear or use any protective equipment or clothing provided by the employer. 

  • To comply with any instruction or measure on occupational safety and health as required under the Act or Regulations. 

  • Participate actively in any other new service that is introduced by the services. 

  • Ensure to actively participate in all 5S activities. 

  • Ensure the policies on patients and family’s rights are addressed at all times. 

  • Ensure compliance to Patient Safety Goals as safety improvement measures recommended by World Alliance for patient Safety (2008). 

  • Ensure adhere to Standard People Practice (SPP). 

  • To carry out other responsibilities or duties assigned from time to time by Head, Purchasing.
