Requirements
Proven sushi preparation skills and knife technique
Knowledge of Japanese cuisine and traditional sushi standards
Ability to work accurately and quickly during service
Familiarity with hygiene standards and food safety
Good teamwork and kitchen communication
Minimum experience ~1–2+ years in similar Japanese kitchen environments
Responsibilities
· Prepare sushi rice and all sushi types (nigiri, sashimi, maki, temaki) according to restaurant standards
· Ensure proper handling, storage, and preparation of fresh seafood and ingredients.
· Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene at the sushi counter and kitchen area
· Work closely with kitchen and service staff to ensure efficient service during operating hours.
· Monitor ingredient stock levels and assist with inventory control.
· Ensure food quality, portion control, and attractive presentation of dishes.
· Assist with ad-hoc kitchen duties as required by the kitchen operations.
