Requirements
Previous experience in F&B or customer service is an added advantage.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Friendly, well-groomed, and customer-oriented personality.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure during peak hours.
Responsible, punctual, and able to work well in a team.
Basic knowledge of food and beverage service is an added advantage.
Able to follow instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Always maintain good personal hygiene and cleanliness.
Possess a valid Food Handling Certificate and Typhoid Vaccination.
Willing to work on shifts, weekends, and public holidays if required.
Physically fit and able to stand or walk for extended periods.
Responsibilities
GAIA'S
To report for duty on time and in the manner specified, i.e., well groomed, clean uniform and personal appearance etc.
Welcome and acknowledge each and every guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly verbal greeting.
Address guests' service needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner.
Assists servers and hosts whenever required by attentively serving food and beverage drink including alcohol and non-alcoholic drink.
To be thoroughly informed and updated on menu information including on-going promotions
Speak to guests and co-workers using clear, appropriate and professional language
Abide to the procedural flow for food ordering, collection and service
Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures
Check your station at the beginning of every shift, for cleanliness of tables and chairs.
Accurately takes order from guests and firing of orders to kitchen
Check on guest satisfaction during their meal and report to Direct Superior on guests request and feedback
Maintain the highest standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the service area
Report to Direct Superior on guests request and feedback
Develop a complete knowledge of menu items, their garnish, contents and preparation methods
Understanding customer demands, be proactive and strive to upsell all food & beverage items in accordance to demands of the customer
Be ready to answer any guest questions about the menu in a positive and concise way.
Maintain a clean table throughout the dining experience. Pay special attention to finer points of service, i.e., water glasses filled, checking back just after serving entrée, keeping proper posture and being personable, but limiting conversation.
Thank guests with genuine appreciation and provide a fond farewell.
