Job Description

Requirements

  • Oversee the daily operations of the hostel, ensuring a safe, secure, and well-maintained living environment for all residents.

  • Implement and enforce hostel rules and regulations, addressing any breaches or conflicts among residents promptly and effectively.

  • Conduct regular inspections of hostel facilities, identifying and coordinating maintenance or repair needs to ensure all amenities are in good working order.

  • Manage resident relations, serving as a primary point of contact for inquiries, complaints, and concerns, fostering a positive community atmosphere.

  • Implement security measures, including monitoring access points, conducting routine patrols, and responding to any security incidents.

  • Develop and execute emergency response plans, ensuring residents are aware of procedures and that all safety equipment is functional.

  • Maintain accurate records of resident information, incidents, and maintenance requests.

  • Liaise with management and external service providers for effective hostel upkeep and resident support.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and housing regulations.

  • Assist in the onboarding process for new residents, including orientation and explanation of hostel policies.
