Duration: 3–6 months (flexible based on academic requirements)

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Mining Engineering, Geology, or related field
• Strong interest in mining operations and willingness to learn
• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia; conversant in Mandarin is an advantage
• Able to stay in mining sites/hostels near mining sites and work under challenging hot weather conditions (required)
• Willing to be based on-site at Bukit Besi / Pahang and adapt to rotational schedules
• Eagerness to learn and apply technical knowledge
• Safety awareness and compliance mindset
• Teamwork and adaptability in challenging site conditions
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

Job Summary

We are offering internship opportunities for students in Mining Engineering, Geology, or related disciplines to gain hands-on exposure in mining operations. Interns will support the Mining and Survey Departments in daily activities, learning about mine planning, drilling and blasting, safety compliance, and operational excellence in an iron ore mining environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and execution of mine plans under supervision
• Support drilling, blasting, loading, hauling, and stockpile management activities
• Participate in safety briefings, hazard identification, and risk assessments
• Assist in monitoring contractor performance and compliance with safety standards
• Work closely with geology, processing, and maintenance teams to understand cross-departmental operations
• Collect and analyse operational data to support productivity and efficiency improvements
• Help prepare operational and safety reports for management review
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and SOP documentation
