Job Description

Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration).

  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with a proven track record in a supervisory or management role.

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate, guide, and develop a team of production staff.

  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, execute, and monitor production projects to successful completion within defined timelines and budgets.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify production inefficiencies, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions.

  • Proficiency in strategic planning, with the ability to contribute to the development and execution of long-term production goals and objectives.

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with team members, other departments, and senior management.

  • Experience in team management, including performance appraisal, training, and conflict resolution.

  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is essential; proficiency in Mandarin is a significant advantage.

  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and best practices relevant to a 250-employee organization.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Commitment to upholding safety standards and quality control measures on the production floor.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all day-to-day operations within the manufacturing/production department, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to safety standards.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

  • Implement and monitor production schedules, optimizing resource allocation and workflow to meet production targets and deadlines.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying bottlenecks, analyzing production data, and implementing effective solutions to enhance productivity and reduce waste.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality control, and supply chain, to ensure seamless production processes and product quality.

  • Manage departmental budget, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, company policies, and quality management systems.

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the production department, aligning with the overall company objectives and growth strategies.

  • Handle employee relations issues, performance management, and training needs within the production team.

  • Communicate effectively with senior management, providing regular reports on production performance, challenges, and future plans.
