Job Description

Requirements

  • Provide first-level technical support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network issues via phone, email, or in-person.

  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware, software, and peripherals.

  • Perform basic system administration tasks, including user account management, software updates, and system monitoring.

  • Support IT projects by assisting with documentation, testing, and implementation tasks under the guidance of senior IT staff.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve common hardware problems, such as printer issues, connectivity problems, and component failures.

  • Help maintain IT inventory and asset management records.

  • Gain exposure to database management principles and assist with routine data entry or backup tasks as needed.

  • Understand and support basic network administration tasks, including cabling, switch configuration, and Wi-Fi troubleshooting.

  • Communicate effectively with users and team members in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin.

  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and IT challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine system administration tasks, including user account management, software updates, and basic network monitoring.

  • Support IT project initiatives by assisting with testing, documentation, and deployment of new systems or applications.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve common hardware problems, such as PC malfunctions, printer issues, and connectivity problems.

  • Help manage and maintain company databases, ensuring data integrity and performing basic backup and recovery operations.

  • Collaborate with senior IT staff on network administration tasks, including basic switch and router configuration and troubleshooting.

  • Document IT procedures, user guides, and troubleshooting steps to build a knowledge base for the IT department.

  • Participate in training sessions to continuously improve technical skills and stay updated with emerging technologies.

  • Assist in managing IT inventory, including hardware and software assets, and ensuring proper tracking and allocation.
