Requirements
Minimum 1–3 years of experience in R&D or product development within the food & beverage industry
Experience in coffee or beverage product development is a strong advantage
Strong understanding of coffee processing, roasting, brewing, and sensory evaluation
Knowledge of shelf-life testing, formulation techniques, and quality control
Familiarity with food safety regulations, food labeling requirements, and quality standards
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
Good communication and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
Develop new formulations and improve existing coffee-based products, including roasted beans, ground coffee, and ready-to-drink beverages, with an emphasis on flavor profile, aroma, texture, stability, and shelf life.
Conduct cupping sessions, sensory evaluations, and shelf-f-life studies to ensure consistent quality and consumer satisfaction.
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all R&D activities, including recipes, procedures, testing data, and outcomes, in accordance with company SOPs.
Ensure all coffee products comply with local and international food safety and labeling regulations, such as the Food Act 1983 and Codex Alimentarius standards.
Stay current with global coffee trends, emerging brewing technologies, sustainable sourcing practices, and innovative ingredients to support continuous product innovation.
