Requirements
Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification, with a preference for candidates possessing higher education in hospitality or business management.
Proven track record of at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or management role within the Chinese restaurant industry, demonstrating a strong understanding of operations.
Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints efficiently and professionally to ensure a positive dining experience.
Proficiency in menu planning and development, including cost control, inventory management, and supplier relations, to optimize profitability and customer satisfaction.
Strong leadership and team management abilities, capable of motivating, training, and scheduling a team of up to 21 employees to achieve service standards and operational goals.
In-depth knowledge and strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards (e.g., HACCP, local health regulations), ensuring a safe and clean dining environment.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the capacity to address operational challenges swiftly and effectively during peak service hours.
Fluency in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin is essential for effective communication with a diverse customer base and staff.
Willingness to work full-time hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required by the operational needs of the restaurant.
Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and restaurant management software is a plus.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service flow, efficient table turnover, and adherence to service standards for a 21-person establishment.
Lead, train, and motivate a team of up to 20 staff members, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring high levels of customer service excellence.
Manage inventory, control food costs, and implement strategies to minimize waste, contributing to the overall profitability of the restaurant.
Ensure strict compliance with all food safety and hygiene regulations, conducting regular checks and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Develop and execute marketing initiatives, including promotions and special events, to drive customer traffic and enhance brand reputation.
Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and efficiently, resolving issues to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Collaborate with the kitchen team on menu planning, specials, and quality control, ensuring authentic and high-quality Chinese cuisine is consistently served.
Manage staff scheduling, payroll, and performance reviews, ensuring adequate staffing levels and employee development.
Maintain the restaurant's ambiance and cleanliness, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable dining experience for all guests.
Analyze sales data and operational reports to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for growth.
