Job Description

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in Food & Beverage operations management, preferably within a catering, events, or institutional food service environment.

  • Proven ability to manage daily F&B operations, ensuring seamless service delivery for functions, international schools, and corporate clients.

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing operational strategies to enhance efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.

  • Strong understanding of quality control standards and best practices in food safety and hygiene.

  • Experience in staff training, development, and performance management to build and lead a high-performing team.

  • Proficiency in budget management, cost control, and inventory management to optimize profitability and minimize waste.

  • Skilled in event planning and execution, from initial concept to final delivery, ensuring all F&B aspects meet client expectations.

  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building and maintaining strong client relationships.

  • Experience in managing supplier relations, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of quality ingredients and supplies.

  • Adept at menu planning and development, considering culinary trends, client needs, and cost-effectiveness.

  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Experience with F&B software and POS systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily F&B operations, ensuring seamless service delivery for functions, international schools, and corporate clients in Pulau Pinang.

  • Lead and manage a team of 21 employees, fostering a positive work environment and providing ongoing training and development in food and beverage management and customer service.

  • Implement and maintain stringent quality control standards for all food and beverage offerings, from menu planning and preparation to presentation and service.

  • Manage inventory, control costs, and develop budgets to optimize profitability while maintaining high service standards and supplier relations.

  • Collaborate with the sales and events team to plan and execute successful catering events, ensuring client satisfaction and adherence to operational plans.

  • Monitor operational performance, analyze key metrics, and implement strategies for continuous improvement in efficiency and service excellence.

  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations within the F&B operations.
