Requirements
- Have a certificate or diploma in the field of classification or mechanical engineering.
- Work experience in the field of classification, particularly in metal classification for the engineering industry.
- Ability to read and understand classification plans and technical specifications.
- Proficient in the operation of various types of classification equipment and related safety equipment.
- Skill in identifying the type and quality of metal materials and appropriate classification techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize quality in work.
- Good communication skills to interact with team and project manager.
- Valid classification license and good understanding of industry safety laws and regulations.
- Valid driving license, preferably with GDL license.
Responsibilities
- Carry out high quality classification of good hoist components according to the specified specifications.
- Able to read & understand Engineering Drawing, Fabricate, WPS and Work Orders
- Assist as required in flame cutting, grinding, material handling or other related work as & when required.
- Making strong connections and bonds between various metal materials such as steel, aluminum, and iron.
- Follows instructions and work plans provided to carry out classification tasks safely and effectively.
- Ensure that all classification work is carried out in accordance with safety standards and established procedures.
- Check the quality and strength of the connection produced and make adjustments if necessary.
- Knowing and understanding various welding methods including arc welding, MIG, TIG, SMAW and others.
- Maintain and maintain classification equipment such as classification machines, chisels, and related safety equipment.
- Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on classification equipment to ensure smooth operations.
- Comply with and ensure compliance with safety rules and work procedures at the workplace.
- Perform other tasks assigned by management related to the classification and connection of good hoist components.
