Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing, or a related field.
- At least 2 years experience in proposal development or a related field.
- Familiarity with the industry or sector is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Clear articulation of complex ideas.
- Strong editing and proofreading abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple proposals with tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Proficient in gathering relevant information for proposals.
- Understanding of client needs for effective proposal customization.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships.
- Meticulous attention to detail for proposal accuracy and quality.
- Familiarity with proposal management tools.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitors.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic business environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills for addressing challenges in proposal development.
- Focus on meeting customer needs and understanding client requirements.
- Ability to think creatively and innovatively in proposal development.
- Experience and proficiency in writing persuasive and compelling proposals.
Responsibilities
- Able to coordinate projects well and manage client's requests
- Enjoy brainstorms and the idea conceptualization process
- Determine each customer's needs by asking questions and listening.
- Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts.
- Researching, writing, and organizing information in a professional and credible manner.
- Reviewing products, services, and/or business ideas.
- Creating strategies for convincing others to take appropriate action.
- Attending meetings and identifying opportunities for proposal writing.
- Prioritizing responsibilities to meet deadlines.
- Editing and revising proposals according to feedback.
- Maintaining consistency in proposal writing by following company policies.
- Working with the design team to create graphics and visuals for projects.
- Giving presentations to the executive board.
- Write quality proposals outlining a well-written and clear strategy
- Write clear, persuasive, and articulate proposal sections
- Translate technical and other ideas into understandable text
- Rewrite and review proposal sections and related proposal documents
- Attend meetings with the client to translate requirements into proposals
- Make edits and revisions as per the requirements
- Draft accurate, responsive, compelling text for proposals, including background/context, executive summary, technical approach overview, and activity components
- Meet deadlines by being capable of prioritizing responsibilities and balancing your workload
- Edit and revise proposals according to notes given by executives and your fellow proposal writers
- Use company templates for proposals in order to maintain a sense of consistency within the department
- Help create graphics and visuals for certain projects
- Work as part of a team to offer suggestions for improvements or ways to streamline the process
