Ways To Recognize And Report JOB SCAMS

Nowadays, the internet has taken on a central role in how people find and apply for jobs, the whole process is undoubtedly becoming more and more convenient. Despite this current modernization, there are also some individuals who do not forget to take advantage of job seekers out there.

Following the various types of job scams which occur in today's society, we are here to share some tips on how to detect job scams and also how to report them.

Here are the ways on how to recognize the job scams and how to make a report:-

1. No Interview

It is very rare for a company to hire employees without an interview. The interview process itself is to filter candidates to get the best one. But to scam people, why do they need to filter? In this unusual case, after the candidates have just applied for a job, they would very soon get a call stating that no interview is required and they can start working.

2. Very brief Job Description + salary is too tolerable

Stay alert of job descriptions in certain job advertisements, which unusually lower the bar on degree and experience requirements. It looks like anyone can simply apply for this job. Besides, it's coupled with a very lucrative salary to impress you.

3. No information / Fake information on the internet

Before we apply or get a job opportunity, we should do a thorough research on the company. If nothing comes out on Google, you need to stay skeptical and research more deeply on the company.

4. They request personal informations in detail

Even before going through the interview process, the company has requested your personal information such as bank account, IC, e-wallet and so on.

5. You are required to make payment before start working

They would force you to pay a deposit for the application / registration process or to pay a certain amount of money to buy their product. A legitimate and registered company will not ask for money from you. Please be careful, you do not need to spend a certain amount of money to get the job unless a job requires you to pay money to make a license certificate or other which is not borne by the employer.

6. Unprofessional email

Usually each company will have their own domain address that looks professional. If the company's official address is still using a free account such as @yahoo @hotmail @gmail, this is a sign you should be aware of.
