Job Summary

You will manage architectural aspects of large-scale building and deep excavation projects, coordinating design, technical, and safety issues through construction to handover, ensuring timely progress and compliance with safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Lead resolution of design, technical, and coordination issues for Temporary Works and Permanent Works during construction to ensure project quality and compliance
• Monitor project progress against schedules and report potential delays on main contractors’ work to the Senior Officer (SO) and project team
• Prepare and deliver detailed site progress and status reports for project updates to the SO and project team
• Oversee Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) and aerodrome safety management systems, conducting risk analyses and implementing safe working practices on site
• Participate actively in risk workshops, Design for Safety review meetings, and other project-related safety and environmental meetings, promotions, risk assessments, and campaigns
• Ensure contractors comply with Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAG) emergency preparedness protocols during trial runs and actual emergencies
• Attend site progress, variation, coordination, technical, and safety meetings with CAG, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution
• Perform contract administrative tasks and other duties related to the Works/Project as directed by the Officer-in-Charge (OIC) and SO

Required competencies and certifications

• Degree in architecture or recognized equivalent accredited by the Board of Architects (BOA) Singapore or acceptable equivalent accreditation to the OIC
• Minimum 8 years of relevant architectural experience including major building construction and deep excavation projects
• Proven track record of successfully completing at least one project through construction and handover stages

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Strong technical background in project management and site coordination for large-scale civil, infrastructure, and multi-disciplinary construction projects
