Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Responsible for Material Management (Procurement) deliverables for the assigned project
Establish bidders list with BW Offshore Category Management and Project Engineering teams
Ensure that Purchase Orders (POs) are awarded based on a mix of quality, delivery time and Total Cost of Ownership to the benefit of the Company and the Project
Ensure that the ERP system (IFS) is used for procurement activities is updated with current PO data
Ensure that the Procurement Milestone Plan (PMP) is kept up to date
Ensure that purchasing activities are performed in accordance to Company and Project policies, guidelines and procedures, Procurement Status Report and project specific Material Management (Procurement) plan
Establish and maintain liaison with the Project Manager, the other members of the project team and suppliers, with the goal to prepare and issue Request for Quotations (RFQs) and POs in a timely manner according to the Procurement Status Report (PSR) and Project schedule needs
Perform all steps in the successful placement of POs including sourcing, preparation of RFQ documents, clarifications, commercial evaluation, negotiations, recommendations, development and execution of PO documents
Ensure proper expediting to ensure procured goods and services are delivered timely in accordance with POs
Responsible for all communication and follow-up towards suppliers throughout the duration of the Project
Evaluate the commercial and contractual aspects of Change Order Request (COR) and NCRs (Non Conformance Requests) from suppliers and implement actions as may be required
Closeout of POs, prepare close out and experience reports
Ensure the following:
allocation of right resources to project
implementation of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) / Life Cycle Cost (LCC) models for projects also to the benefit of Fleet after handover
that corporate frame agreements and standards are used where possible
Lead and supervise a team of Supply Chain resources on procurement , including but not limited to sourcing, bidding, evaluation, award to close out
Provide input for the Project Supervisory activity plan regarding internal audits, audits with suppliers and Management Reviews
Ensure Supply Chain is delivering on time and on budget
Experience:
Degree in Engineering or other relevant discipline
Ideally 15 years of experience with purchasing and supply chain management or related activities for major industrial projects
Ideally a minimum of 5 years within the FPSO industry
International and multi-cultural experience will be preferred
Knowledge:
In depth knowledge of Material Management functions
In depth understanding of commercial and contractual issues related to the procurement of industrial goods
Good understanding of financing linked to TCO/LCC and demand/supply modelling
Good understanding of project management of FPSO projects
Basic understanding of technical aspects of offshore projects in general and FPSO projects in particular
Solid knowledge of ERP systems
Fluent in English (oral and written)

Ability to work in a multidisciplinary / multinational environment
Proactive and able to work independently, applying a structured and systematic approach
Ability to deliver in a high pressure, fast-paced project environment
