Backend Developer – RF Protocols

Location: Malaysia (Hybrid/Onsite)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Backend Developer – RF Protocols with strong experience in C#/.NET, C/C++, and telecom protocol development. The role involves developing and maintaining backend services, implementing protocol decoders for LTE, 5G NR, GSM, and WCDMA, optimizing system performance, and troubleshooting production issues for telecom network analysis platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop backend services and telecom protocol decoders.
• Implement chipset-specific updates for Qualcomm, Samsung, and MediaTek.
• Decode LTE/5G protocol layers (NAS, RRC, RLC, MAC, PHY) and throughput metrics.
• Optimize application and SQL Server database performance.
• Troubleshoot production issues and support software releases.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Telecommunications, or related field.
• Strong experience with C#/.NET, C/C++, SQL Server/T-SQL.
• Knowledge of LTE, 5G NR, GSM, WCDMA, and telecom protocol stacks.
• Experience with chipset ICD specifications and protocol analysis tools (QXDM/Wireshark) is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills.
