We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor (Electrical) to manage post-contract commercial matters, with a strong focus on Variation Orders (VOs) and contractual claims. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying additional works and scope changes, substantiating claims, and negotiating with clients, consultants and main contractors to achieve effective commercial recovery.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage post-contract commercial and QS matters for Electrical/M&E projects.
- Review tender, contract, addendum, drawings and specifications to identify scope changes and additional works.
- Prepare, substantiate and submit Variation Orders (VOs) and contractual claims.
- Prepare quantity measurements, cost estimates and rate build-ups for additional works.
- Follow up and negotiate VO claims with clients, consultants and main contractors.
- Prepare progress claims and manage final accounts.
- Monitor project costs, outstanding VOs and commercial risks.
- Work closely with project/site teams to identify and document additional works.
Requirements
- Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Electrical Engineering, Building, Construction Management or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant QS/commercial experience.
- Strong experience in Electrical/M&E projects and post-contract VO management.
- Hands-on experience in preparing, substantiating and negotiating VOs with clients/main contractors.
- Contractor/subcontractor-side experience preferred.
- Strong commercial, negotiation and documentation skills.
