We work with leading clients in energy, real estate, and manufacturing in developing web and mobile applications.

We're looking for a thorough and methodical QA Engineer to take full ownership of testing across our web and mobile SaaS platform. This is a full-time remote position working closely with our product and development team in Malaysia. You'll be responsible for building proper test coverage including positive, negative, edge case, and regression testing and ensuring every feature and deployment is production-ready before it reaches our enterprise clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases covering positive, negative, edge case, boundary, and exploratory scenarios — not just happy path testing
• Own and maintain test documentation including test plans, test cases, regression suites, and environment-specific checklists
• Provide formal QA sign-off reports before each production deployment
• Work toward implementing test automation for routine and critical feature flows to reduce manual effort on each release
• Collaborate closely with developers and the product team to ensure issues are resolved correctly before re-testing
• Perform thorough regression testing across all modules before every deployment to ensure existing features are not broken by new changes
• Execute smoke testing across multiple cloud environments — dedicated enterprise client environments and staging/dev servers
• Test and validate third-party integrations including IoT sensor triggers connected to meter and work order workflows
• Perform cross-platform testing across web app (React) and mobile app (Flutter) to ensure feature parity and consistent user experience
• Write clear, structured, and reproducible bug reports with severity classification tracked via Jira or equivalent

Requirements

• This is on site position. Candidates must be willing to travel to our office in Sunway Citrine Hub, Sunway Iskandar, Johor
• Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in a dedicated QA role with hands-on experience testing web and mobile applications
• Mindset: Detail-oriented and thorough — takes pride in catching issues before they reach production
• Test methodology: Strong understanding of functional, regression, negative, exploratory, UAT, and smoke testing — must go well beyond positive case testing
• Test documentation: Proven ability to write thorough test plans, detailed test cases, and clear bug reports that developers can act on immediately
• API testing: Proficient with Postman or similar tools for API validation and integration testing
• Bug tracking: Experienced with Jira, Asana, or equivalent tools for logging, tracking, and following up on issues
• Automation: Familiar with at least one test automation framework such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Katalon, or Appium
• Communication: Strong written and spoken English — clear daily communication with the Malaysia-based team is essential
• Fresh graduate are welcome to apply.
• Strong understanding of web and mobile applications, as well as cloud technology.
• Proficient with Jira, Trello, Notion or similar tools.
• Bonus - Familiarity with CMMS, ERP, API integration, ISO or DevOps.

Bonus skills (good to have)

• Ability to write technical or product requirements — user stories, functional specs, or PRDs — in addition to test documentation
• Experience testing SaaS platforms with multiple tenant or dedicated client environments
• Familiarity with Docker-based deployments and cloud infrastructure basics
• Experience with IoT or sensor-integrated systems
• Background in facilities management, asset management, or enterprise software
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
