What you'll be doing
Payroll Processing
- Process monthly payroll for retail employees, including full-time, part-time, and contract staff.
- Calculate wages, overtime, shift allowances, public holiday pay, commissions, and other variable components.
- Ensure accuracy of attendance records, leave records, and claims prior to payroll finalisation.
- Prepare payroll summaries and reconciliation reports for management review.
Attendance & Time Management
- Verify outlet attendance reports and ensure proper approval of overtime and leave.
- Liaise with outlet managers regarding discrepancies in attendance, lateness, and unpaid leave.
- Ensure payroll adjustments are supported by proper documentation.
Statutory Compliance
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB/Income Tax).
- Prepare statutory reports and liaise with relevant authorities when required.
- Ensure compliance with Employment Act and labour regulations, especially relating to overtime and rest days in retail operations.
Payroll Administration & Record Keeping
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee payroll records.
- Process new hires, resignations, salary adjustments, and final salary payments.
- Prepare EA forms and annual tax documentation.
- Support audit requirements by providing payroll-related documentation.
Employee Support
- Respond to employee payroll enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Provide clarification on salary breakdown, deductions, overtime calculations, and statutory matters.
What we're looking for
- Diploma or Degree in HR, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years payroll experience, preferably in retail or multi-outlet environment.
- Strong knowledge of Employment Act and statutory requirements.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with shift-based payroll computation.
- Experience handling large headcount with high staff movement.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,700.00 per month
