Job Description
- Manage project costs, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and maintain project budgets based on approved estimates and schedules.
- Monitor project spending, commitments, accruals, and cost performance to ensure projects remain within budget.
- Track and report project cost changes, risks, and variances, while recommending corrective actions where required.
- Prepare accurate monthly cost reports, forecasts, and financial analysis for project stakeholders.
- Support contingency planning and cost control strategies to improve project performance.
- Work closely with Finance, Procurement, Project Controls, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate cost reporting and budget management.
- Review project commitments and contracts in accordance with company policies and delegated authority.
- Provide cost data and analysis to support project estimating, planning, and decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant health, safety, environmental, and statutory requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve cost management processes, efficiency, and project performance.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders through effective communication and proactive engagement.
Requirements
- Excellent command of spoken and written English with strong communication skills.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Cost Engineering, Cost Control, Project Controls, or a similar role.
- Experience managing project budgets, cost forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis for large-scale projects.
- Familiar with project cost management systems such as EcoSys, Stature, Aconex, or equivalent platforms.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
- Good understanding of project lifecycle, budgeting, change management, and cost control processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other project reporting tools.
- Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
Pay: RM9,000.00 - RM13,000.00 per month
