We are looking for a Procurement Executive to provide procurement and logistics support, coordinate import and export shipments, manage inventory, and support the sales of metal compound inventories to manufacturing customers.
The successful candidate will handle end-to-end purchasing activities, work closely with local and overseas suppliers, coordinate shipping documentation, and ensure materials are procured and delivered accurately and on time.
Job Description:
Procurement & Purchasing
- Handle end-to-end procurement activities, including RFQs, purchase order issuance, and delivery follow-up.
- Coordinate delivery adjustments with suppliers based on customer requirements.
- Ensure materials are procured within the required timelines.
Supplier Management
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with local and overseas suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance based on quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness.
- Liaise with suppliers to resolve supply, delivery, and quality-related issues.
Import & Export Shipment Coordination
- Plan, arrange, and execute import and export shipments via air, sea, courier, and drop shipment.
- Book freight with approved forwarders and monitor shipment schedules.
- Track shipments and proactively resolve delays or logistics issues.
- Coordinate with warehouse teams on cargo picking, packing, and delivery arrangements.
Import & Export Documentation
- Prepare, verify, and manage import and export shipping documents within the required timelines.
- Ensure documentation complies with customs regulations, trade requirements, and company policies.
- Assist in resolving documentation discrepancies and customs clearance issues.
Logistics, Warehouse & Inventory Coordination
- Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, warehouses, and logistics service providers to ensure smooth shipment execution.
- Verify and approve invoices from logistics and service providers.
- Perform stock confirmation, monitor inventory, and support periodic stock-take activities.
- Coordinate with Sales, Warehouse, Logistics, and Accounts teams to ensure efficient order fulfilment.
- Process sales invoice billing in the system when required.
Operational Support & Coordination
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth delivery process.
- Track and manage inventory levels.
- Resolve delivery discrepancies, quality issues, and invoice mismatches.
- Identify opportunities to improve procurement and logistics processes.
Customer Relationship Management
- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers.
- Provide timely updates and address customer enquiries.
- Ensure high levels of service quality and customer satisfaction.
Job Requirement
- Good understanding of procurement and purchasing processes.
- Experience or knowledge in logistics, import and export coordination, inventory, or supply chain operations is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to work independently under tight timelines.
- Strong sense of urgency, responsibility, and professional ethics.
- Collaborative team player with a continuous improvement mindset.
Pay: RM3,200.00 - RM3,800.00 per month
