TELECOMMUNICATION SITE ENGINEER (CORE NETWORK)

Plan, Implement and Operate the network infrastructure of Citaglobal Telecommunication based on customer requirement and leading technological solutions. This role will support the Head of Network to come up with viable solution and network based on the stakeholders requirement through innovative design methodology and access to the latest technologies.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

1.Plan the deployment and operation of Core Network

• Identify stakeholders and requirement for core network deployment
• Establish a comprehensive deployment plan of the network, taking into stakeholder expectation and risk assessment.
• Identify sourcing partners for the supply of the technology and develop business cases for core Network

2.Project Management and Execution

• Plan and execute the end-to-end network deployment projects, including managing of resources and project progress reporting.
• Attend to site for project implementation and execution whenever requiredto ensure timelyand quality project deliverable.
• Ensure timely projectdelivery while adheringto quality standardsand staying withinbudget.
• Work with cross-functional teams including engineering, construction, procurement, and regulatory affairs to coordinate activities.

3.Operational Excellence and Optimization

• Oversee the operations and maintenance of fiber and core networks, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and continuously monitor network health, capacity, and quality metrics.
• Implement best practices and process improvements to reduce downtime, increase efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction.

4.Team Leadership and Development

• Foster a collaborative culture that encourages innovation, accountability, and professional growth.
• Provide training and development opportunities to keep the team current with industry standards and technological advancements.

5.Vendor and Stakeholder Management

• Maintain good relationships with external contractors, suppliers, and technology vendors.
• Negotiate contracts and oversee vendor performance to ensure high-quality delivery.
• Engage with regulatory bodies, community leaders, and industry partners to facilitate network deployment and regulatory compliance.

6.Risk Management and Compliance

• Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with core networkoperations and projects.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety and security, both for field teams and network assets.

7.Budgeting and Financial Oversight

• Assist the Head of Network to develop and manage the network budget, focusing on cost-effectiveness and return on investment.
• Track and report financial performance, ensuring accountability and adherence to approved budgets.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in telecommunications or fiber networkmanagement, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Proven track recordof managing core network deployments, operations, and optimization.
• Strong knowledge of fiber technology, IP network, Opticalnetwork, Mobile and Wireless, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects.
• Proficiency in budgeting, financial planning, and cost management.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
