Plan, execute, and support thermal validation testing for electronic products and systems.
Perform thermal measurements using equipment such as temperature data loggers, infrared (IR) cameras, wind tunnels, and other thermal testing instruments.
Validate and optimize fan speed control algorithms and over-temperature protection mechanisms.
Analyze thermal test results, identify issues, and provide recommendations for design improvements.
Prepare detailed thermal test reports and present findings to engineering teams.
Evaluate and validate thermal solutions including heat sinks, thermal interface materials (TIM), air movers (fans/blowers), and other cooling components.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Hardware Design, Mechanical Engineering, Product Engineering, and Manufacturing to resolve thermal-related issues.
Support product qualification, reliability testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience in thermal testing, thermal validation, or thermal engineering within the electronics industry.
Hands-on experience with thermal measurement tools such as:
Temperature Data Logger
Infrared (IR) Camera
Wind Tunnel
Thermal Sensors and Measurement Equipment
Experience validating fan speed control algorithms and over-temperature protection mechanisms.
