Role Description The Account Assistant role is a full-time, on-site position based in JB. The role involves supporting day-to-day accounting operations, including handling accounts payable and receivable, monitoring petty cash, and assisting with bank reconciliations and financial records. The Account Assistant will help with credit control activities such as tracking outstanding payments, following up with customers, and preparing aging reports. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate documentation, updating accounting systems, preparing basic financial summaries for management, and coordinating with internal teams to resolve billing or payment issues. The role also requires assisting with month-end closing tasks, supporting external audits, and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Accounting and Finance, including basic knowledge of bookkeeping, ledger entries, and financial reconciliation.
• Candidates should possess skills in Credit Control, such as monitoring customer accounts, managing collections, and preparing aging reports.
• Candidates should possess skills in handling Petty Cash, including recording transactions, maintaining cash balances, and preparing summaries.
• Candidates should possess strong Communication skills to liaise with internal teams, customers, and external partners in a clear and professional manner.
• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel) is beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively on-site in Skudai and maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
