ELK DevOps Engineer
We are seeking an experienced ELK DevOps Engineer to support and maintain enterprise-scale logging, monitoring, and observability platforms within a Singapore Government Cloud (GCC) environment. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Linux administration, cloud platforms, automation, and DevOps practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) infrastructure.
- Configure and manage Elasticsearch clusters, index lifecycle management, shard allocation, and cluster optimization.
- Develop and maintain Logstash pipelines and Beats for log collection and processing.
- Build Kibana dashboards, visualizations, reports, and monitoring alerts.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Elasticsearch cluster performance, indexing, and search-related issues.
- Implement monitoring and observability solutions for applications and infrastructure.
- Automate deployments and configurations using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines for application and platform deployments.
- Support production incidents, root cause analysis, and performance tuning activities.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, security, and cloud teams.
- Ensure compliance with Government security and operational standards.
Required Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in ELK Stack administration and support.
- Strong hands-on experience with: Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beats (Filebeat, Metricbeat, Auditbeat)
- Experience in Singapore Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) environments.
- Strong Linux Administration skills (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu).
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Experience with automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Knowledge of AWS or Azure Cloud platforms.
- Strong scripting skills using Shell, Python, or Bash.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting GovTech, Government Agencies, or Public Sector projects.
- Knowledge of security monitoring, SIEM, and log analytics platforms.
- Experience with high-availability and disaster recovery configurations.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and Agile delivery methodologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
- Relevant certifications in Elastic, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, or DevOps are preferred.
Nice to Have
- Experience working in GCC, GCC 2.0, GPC, or GDC environments.
- Experience handling mission-critical government systems and applications.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity and compliance frameworks used in Singapore Government projects.
