The Role

We are looking for a hands-on Head of Platform Engineering to lead the architecture, development, and evolution of a mission-critical cloud platform. This is a technical leadership role where you will define the engineering strategy, establish best practices, and build ahigh-performing engineering function while remaining actively involved in technical design and delivery.

You will work closely with business and technology leaders to build a highly scalable, secure, and resilient platform that supports business growth and future product expansion.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own the platform engineering strategy, architecture, and technology roadmap.
• Lead the design, development, and scaling of cloud-native platforms and core engineering services.
• Build and enhance shared engineering capabilities, including CI/CD pipelines, developer platforms, infrastructure automation, monitoring, and observability.
• Drive platform scalability, availability, security, and performance across mission-critical systems.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions that support future product and operational growth.
• Champion engineering best practices across software architecture, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and platform reliability.
• Establish operational excellence through robust incident management, disaster recovery, security, and resilience planning.
• Lead infrastructure and platform operations across modern cloud environments.
• Mentor, coach, and grow a high-performing engineering team while fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate closely with product, architecture, and business stakeholders to deliver innovative platform capabilities.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, or infrastructure engineering, including experience in senior technical leadership roles.
• Proven experience building and scaling cloud-native platforms from the ground up.
• Strong hands-on expertise across backend engineering, cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and modern software architecture.
• Extensive experience with Kubernetes, containerisation, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and developer platforms.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience designing highly available, secure, and scalable distributed systems.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and grow engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Singapore-based or eligible to work in Singapore
